Editorial Standards & Agentic Modelling Disclosure

Last updated: 26 June 2026

COLD//RIOT covers streetwear, fashion, music, tattoo, art, nightlife, events, London culture, global scenes, products, stores, guides and the people shaping them. This page explains how we approach editorial quality, corrections and agentic modelling-assisted publishing.

1. Editorial mission

COLD//RIOT is a cultural intelligence platform for underground and emerging scenes: the place where readers find what has not fully blown yet, because it is still becoming. We aim to be useful, specific, human, scene-aware and independent in taste.

2. Editorial independence

We may cover brands, products, artists, venues, events, retailers and collaborators. Coverage does not automatically mean endorsement, approval or affiliation.

We may decline to cover stories that feel off-brand, unsupported, unsafe, overly promotional or not useful to readers.

3. Research and sourcing

We aim to use credible sources, including official brand/venue/artist information, direct submissions, press materials, public records, reputable publications, interviews, product pages, event listings, social posts and first-hand knowledge where available.

For fast-moving stories, details such as release dates, prices, venues, stock, lineups and availability can change. Readers should check official sources before travelling, buying, attending, relying on dates or making decisions.

4. Agentic modelling workflow disclosure

COLD//RIOT may use agentic models and agentic workflow tools to support:

Agentic modelling systems are tools in the workflow, not the final authority. Our intention is to keep human editorial judgement at the centre and run quality checks before publication.

However, agentic models and workflow systems can sometimes hallucinate, misread sources, miss context, overstate certainty, produce outdated information or introduce factual errors. We do not guarantee that every article is complete, current or error-free. Readers should fact-check important information directly with primary sources before acting on it.

5. Human QA

Our QA process may include source checks, editorial review, tone review, rights/status checks for images, SEO checks, metadata checks and post-publication corrections. The depth of review may vary by article type: a short news brief, an evergreen guide and a sensitive feature do not require the same process.

6. Corrections and updates

If we find an error, we may correct, clarify, update or remove content. For material factual corrections, we aim to make the correction clear where appropriate. If you spot an issue, use the contact route provided on the site with the article URL, the relevant passage and supporting evidence.

7. Reviews, rankings and recommendations

Guides, rankings and recommendations reflect editorial judgement at the time of publication or update. They may consider cultural relevance, design, reader usefulness, availability, price, quality, scene fit, originality and location. Inclusion is not a guarantee of quality, safety, availability or suitability for every reader.

8. User submissions and community material

We welcome tips, submissions, pitches, event information, brand updates and creative work. Submitting material does not guarantee publication. We may edit submissions for clarity, length, accuracy, house style, legal safety and reader usefulness.

9. Images and rights

We aim to use original, licensed, submitted, press or otherwise permissioned imagery for live publication. Mood boards, reference boards and internal creative research may include third-party reference material that is not cleared for live editorial use. Rights holders can use the contact route provided on the site if they believe material has been used incorrectly.

10. Safety and sensitive topics

COLD//RIOT covers nightlife, tattoo, music, events and subcultures, which can involve adult spaces, risk, alcohol, travel, personal safety, health or legal considerations. Our coverage is not safety, legal or medical advice. Readers are responsible for checking age restrictions, venue policies, laws, travel details and personal safety before acting.

11. Contact
